Renchang Fu
Since April 2005 he was appointed as principal conductor by “das sinfonie orchester berlin. Received his music education in the field of dulcimer, piano, and composition in the Music Primary School and the Music Middle School in Shanghai from 1980 till 1989. He studied conducting in Shanghai, Berlin and Leipzig from 1989-2000. In 2000 he was offered a certificate of highest distinction(Meisterklassenexamen)from the Hochschule fuer Musik in Leipzig. He took part in the International conducting course under Sir Colin Davis, Maestro Claus Peter-Flor and Maestro Panura.
After won the 3rd prize at the All-Chinese Conducting Competition in 1993, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra engaged him as resident conductor.
He has conducted many Orchestra in Europe and in China, such like das sinfonie orchester berlin, Brandenburger Symphoniker, Pressischen Kammer Orchester, Jenaer Philharmonic Orchestra in Germany, the Rousse Philharmonic in Bulgaria, the Bursa Symphony Orchestra in Turkey, the Polonia Symphoniatta in Polan; and Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai Broad-casting Symphony Orchestra, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Liaoning Symphony Orchestra, the Tianjin Symphony Orchestra and Xiamen Philharmonic etc. .
From 2002 to 2004, Fu was engaged as conductor by the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. Since 2004 he was engaged as Professor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
